Capgemini UK, subsidiary of the Capgemini Group, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has extended and renewed its business process outsourcing (BPO) contract with Syngenta.

The company said that the new seven-year contract extends the scope of finance and accounting services and adds procurement services, delivering to the worldwide Syngenta business unit portfolio in over 50 countries. The services are expected to contribute Syngenta in achieving process standardisation and enhance operational performance.

Capgemini said that it has leveraged its global process model (GPM) transformation tools and capabilities to deliver services to Syngenta and it will also utilise its BPOpen technology platform to support faster roll-out of the extended service.

Capgemini Global BPO is also implementing its command centre offering that provides global view of geographically dispersed customer interactions and enterprise-wide insights into operational and customer trends.

Syngenta will use the company’s Rightshore global delivery model to provide services from centres in Brazil, Guatemala and India, in addition to the current services provided from Poland and China. The multi-process agreement will see Capgemini utilise its BPOpen technology platform to support faster and cost-effective roll-out of the extended service.

Hubert Giraud, global leader of Capgemini Global BPO, said: “We are proud to extend our partnership with Syngenta and are delighted to be so intrinsically involved in the success of their business processes optimisation. The complex nature of transformation and the wide global scope of this new service is a testament to the talent of our joint teams and Capgemini’s unique abilities in delivering best practice professional processing.”
