Capgemini Norge, a unit of the Capgemini Group has secured a six year Application Lifecycle Services contract worth EUR26m to manage and further develop the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV)’s content management system, Arena.

NAV’s enterprise content management system Arena was developed in 2001 and is designed to ensure a smooth and functioning labour market across the Norway such as by supporting the government’s public employment agency and recruitment.

The Norwegian agency also manages welfare benefits during sick leave, unemployment and maternity leave, through the Arena content management system.

The system will also provide support for companies endorsing the ‘Including Worklife’ initiative, an agreement between trade unions, business organisations and the government in Norway.

Capgemini Norge will create new digitised services with effective functionalities, as part of the government’s new Digital Agenda initiative.

Capgemini will use Lean project methodology to manage and develop NAV’s enterprise content management system.
