Plans collaboration with 22 subcontractors to complete the project

By CBR Staff Writer

Capgemini Government Solutions, a member of Capgemini Group, has won a seven-year blanket purchase agreement worth $100m from General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Centre in support of US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Capgemini said that USDA is seeking to modernise aging departmental and agency program application systems through an Application Transformation and Modernization (ATM) programme.

Under the terms of agreement, Capgemini will provide independent verification and validation (IV&V) services in support of USDA’s ATM initiatives including modernisation and innovation of the delivery of agricultural systems; financial management modernisation initiative; budget and performance management system; and Web-based supply chain management.

The company said that it will collaborate with 22 subcontractors to complete the project.

Capgemini Government Solutions CEO Joe Moye said, the company’s public sector industry experience, matched with its consulting and technology capabilities to support enterprise resource planning, will help enable USDA to modernise and execute USDA’s implementations while saving costs.
