Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has launched its Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering for the Property and Casualty Insurance market.
Capgemini’s Insurance Connect combines technology and core processing efficiency to deliver end-to-end integration of "best in class" claims, policy administration and billing services for small to mid-sized carriers.
This solution provides insurers with implementation, integration, maintenance and hosting on one platform, and is available for a monthly subscription fee.
Capgemini’s Insurance Connect is currently available in North America for carriers writing Non-Standard Auto insurance and will be expanded to cover Specialty Commercial lines of business in North America and the UK within the next year.
John Mullen, VP, Capgemini North America Insurance, said: "We’ve seen an increased demand and interest in PaaS offerings from insurance enterprises. Capgemini’s Insurance Connect provides a compelling proposition for the small to mid-sized carrier by providing them with access to best-in-class, pre-configured core systems via a subscription-based model."
Capgemini’s Insurance Connect is a preconfigured set of optimised services, leveraging Guidewire InsuranceSuite, tailored for specific market segments and supported in a hosted, private-cloud environment. The advantages of this solution are said to include: access to best in class technologies, lower cost of entry, increased speed to market, predictability in total cost of operations, and a flexible subscription-based model.
