The current proposal for sale of Gartner Group Inc is that it should convert into a joint company owned by Cap Gemini Sogeti SA, Paris and Gartner management, with Cap Gemini taking full control over time, a plan opposed by management. Saatchi & Saatchi Co Plc wants the $100m it paid for the company; management offered $70m to $80m. International Data Corp is believed to have conducted a due diligence investigation of Gartner too.
