FranceÆs Cap Gemini Group, one of Europe’s top information technology services companies, has launched its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore. It has also established a center of excellence in the island republic, staffed by 200 consultants to cope with its rapidly growing business around the region.
Management consultancy Gemini Consulting and IT services firm Cap Gemini are both active in Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore. We will use the Singapore headquarters to increase Cap Gemini’s strength in delivering strategic change to corporations in Asia-Pacific, said Gemini Consulting chairman Pierre Hessler.
The Asia-Pacific center of excellence will link up with existing centers in France and Britain and serve as the regional hub for knowledge and skills transfer within the Asia-Pacific, the company statement said. It will also develop new products and services to build and strengthen Cap GeminiÆs outsourcing capabilities in the region, it said.
