The Advanced Technologies Operation arm of Canon Inc’s Canon Computer Systems has brought in its 100MHz 80486DX4 NeXTstep-based object station 41 for sale into the UK, from the US. The $5,000 unit, which includes 17 colour monitor, 500Mb disk and 16Mb of RAM is being sold direct into the UK from north America. Canon claims to have negotiated a deal with its shipping company to simplify the paperwork on value added tax and customs duty.
