Having populated the world with its facsimile machines, Canon Inc wants to see the things more widely used, and has formed a new company, Fastnet Inc, to offer facsimile transmission services worldwide. Canon holds 74% of Fastnet, Canon Sales Co has 13%, and US company Internet Inc the balance. Fastnet is capitalised at $400,000, and Canon looks for $75,000 of business in year one rising to $2.7m in the third year.
