Jim Cannavino, former chief executive of Perot Systems Corp and senior VP for strategy and development at IBM, is keeping busy these days. He’s been named chairman of the board at applications developer Softworks Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Computer Concepts Corp based in Alexandria, Virginia. Just last week Cannavino was named chairman and chief executive at CyberSafe Corp, a privately-held Issaquah, Washington-based network security company (CI No 3,375). Softworks, which recently launched a new suite of conversion and testing tools for the Y2K Euro conversion markets, boasted 1997 revenues in excess of $26m.
