Privately held Candle Corp has for the first time disclosed a limited amount of information about its financial 1997. It says it wants to demonstrate its financial stability to customers and says revenue increased 19% from $263.5m in 1996 to $313m in 1997 while operating profit rose by 6%. There’s no way to confirm theses numbers as Candle doesn’t trade publicly, but analysts claims net margins on is systems management software are around 20%, said to be high for its industry sector. Meantime Candle has decided to cash in on the dash to ERP by introducing a version of its Command Center software specifically for use with SAP R/3. It includes tools for deployment, monitoring and management. On NT, and Unix supporting Oracle, Informix, Microsoft SQL Server and DB2 for MVS, prices go from $20,000. á
