Candle Corp, Los Angeles has added Omegamon/e for MVS, an entry-level version of its Omegamon performance monitor: the company says that Omegamon/e provides detailed system information via simple graphs and colour-coded displays, and has a user inteface that meets IBM’s Common User Access specification, and is Candle’s first monitor to be aimed at non-specialists; it also adds TSO end-to-end response time analysis; it operates with Candle’s Status Monitor to provide a graphic view of system status, and costs $5,000 as a companion product to Omegamon for MVS, with the stand-alone version $15,000 next month.
