CANDLE ADDS SECURITY SERVICES TO MQSERIES MANAGEMENT

By CBR Staff Writer

Mainframe systems management house Candle Corp, which is re- plumbing its technology to use IBM Corp’s MQSeries messaging software will introduce its promised MQSecure security enhancements on June 30th (CI No 3,105). It says MQSecure offers message validation, user authentication and message privacy and encryption that MQSeries does not include. It says MQSecure will ensure data sent from a system or application is not changed; assurance that messages sent come from the indicated sources and that non-repudiation features ensure that an individual cannot deny having sent a message.
