CANAL ENDORSES VLSI TECHNOLOGY TV SET-TOP ARCHITECTURE

French pay television service Canal Plus SA has endorsed VLSI Technology Inc’s set-top architecture for its digital satellite television system. Canal Plus’s Canal Satellite digital satellite television system will provide up to 40 channels of MPEG- 2-encoded digital television programming by the end of the year.
