CANADA’s DIVERSIFYING CAE HAS $200m FOR ACQUISITIONS

Flight simulator king CAE Inc of Toronto is facing many of the problems faced by defence contractors as budgets are cut and is keen to diversify with electronic entertainment high on its list of priorities. Now its chairman, John Caldwell, tells analysts that it has $150m to $200m to spend on joint ventures and acquisitions, with most acquisitions under $40m. It is close to completing one such acquisition in Australia.
