The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission has approved applications by Bell Canada Inc, British Columbia Telephone Co, AGT Ltd and New Brunswick Telephone Co to introduce a bulk discount overseas service for business users: to be called Advantage Overseas Service, it will be offered to subscribers placing station-to-station calls to locations served by the overseas monopoly carrier, Teleglobe Canada Inc; businesses with monthly bills over the equivalent of $168 will qualify for discounts according to their volumes.
