It enables consumers to transfer their digital music collections into a compact, transportable stereo system. The PlayDock PD200 was developed exclusively for Creative’s NOMAD Jukebox digital audio player.

As more and more consumers embrace digital audio formats, we wanted to introduce a sound system that would let them transform their personal, digital music collections into a portable, group-oriented system, said Low Chee Seng, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Creative Labs Asia. The PlayDock PD200 and the NOMAD Jukebox is part of a new breed of audio solutions – digital stereo systems – that will expand as a result of the growing demand and interest in digital audio.

A glove securely attaches the NOMAD Jukebox to the top of the PD200. The digital stereo can then be easily carried from one location to another. The PlayDock PD200 houses three speakers – left and right main speakers plus an extra bass speaker for wide-range sound. With the NOMAD Jukebox in place, the rechargeable battery housed inside the PD200 offers approximately ten hours of music. The PD200 also comes with an AC adapter that will simultaneously recharge the NOMAD Jukebox and the PlayDock PD200 when connected.

Pricing and Availability

The PlayDock PD200 is available from early June at the suggested retail price of S$389 through Creative’s Authorized Distributors and resellers in Asia.
