Cambex Corp says it has the first 5Gb 8mm tape drive for the RS/6000, its Certainty 6800-90, listed at $9,950, and a lower end 2.5Gb 6800-80 going for $5,750, less than the $6,915 IBM Corp is asking for its own 2.3Gb product: the 6800-90 unit does not use data compression.
