Callidus Software Inc yesterday announced a strategic partnership with Hyperion to integrate and resell Hyperion’s Essbase OLAP Server in its TrueComp compensation management software product. TrueComp enables finance executives to model, administer, and report on incentive compensation plans for employees in large organizations. Callidus says it will use Hyperion Essbase as the platform for TrueComp Modeler, the modeling, analysis and planning module in TrueComp. By combining the two, customers will be able to develop sophisticated variable compensation models and better understand how those plans affect revenue, performance and costs, Callidus claims. Examples of increased functionality include the ability of finance staff to review employee performance using the OLAP functionality and to create what-if scenarios to forecast expenses based on projected sales transactions and potential changes to compensation plans.
