Callidus unveils new mobile learning deployment application

mLearning Sync synchronises offline activity to the server, including scores, progress, and time, and made available to managers

Sales effectiveness and cloud computing firm Callidus Software has launched a new mobile learning deployment application, Rapid Intake mLearning Sync, which will allow offline training for mobile workforces.

The new application will help managers create or import learner accounts, create groups of learners, and upload, assign courses from a self-service console.

It also synchronises offline activity to the server, including scores, progress, and time, and made available to managers.

mLearning Sync can be configured to synchronise tracking information about the progress of learners while corporate Learning Management. SCORM data is passed from mLearning Sync to the current LMS so that all data can be viewed in one location.

The mobile app (iPhones, iPads and Android devices) and the self-service user console can be custom branded to customer requirements.

CallidusCloud president and CEO Leslie Stretch said mLearning Sync enables users to consume training content on mobile devices, online or not, while allowing companies to keep track of actual progress in their training programs.

"By simplifying access to training and making it measurable, mLearning Sync will enable companies to optimize their talent development initiatives."

CallidusCloud Rapid Intake vice president and general manager Garin Hess said course creators can build media courses and assessments using Rapid Intake mLearning Studio, upload them to a secure server and assign them to their target audience.

"Courses can be downloaded to iPads, iPhones, and Android devices, and reviewed at any time. Managers can keep track of the activity as it happens, in near real-time," said Hess.
