And California Software Products International, Santa Ana, California has come out with a new version of Baby/36 which instead of recreating the System 36 environment on a personal computer, gives System 36 applications the look and feel of MS-DOS programs. The thinking behind the product is that the 80486 opens up a major market for personal computer vendors in the two- to 10-user market, and that what they need is the appropriate applications. Baby/36 version 5 adds to th emulatora set of RPG developers tools so that venerable applications can be given a facelift with the addition of pop-down menus, colour and mouse support. They can be intermingled with MS-DOS applications and data can be shared between the two. It comes in single-user, multi-user – up to 10 users on an 80386 or 80486 box – and local networking versions.
