California Software Products Inc, Santa Ana, California has come out with a multi-user version of its Baby/4XX emulation environment, which runs on iAPX-86-based personal computers. The aim is to provide a low-cost IBM Corp AS/400-compatible application and software development system: the company reckons that the software will support anything from two to three users right up to 50 users on a fast 80486 machine with enough disk and memory. Old 8088-based machines can be used as terminals. The product is aimed primarily at AS/400 users wanting an off-line development capability; no prices.
