Semiconductor companies seem to be a glut on the market just now, and California Micro Devices Corp, Milpitas, has decided that it doesn’t want Gould Inc’s American Microsystems Inc after all. The agreement between the two was mutually terminated because California Micro was unable to raise the agreed price. California Micro says it is reviewing its relationship with Xerox’s Van Kampen Merritt as it relates to the financing of the transaction and will decide on action shortly.
