California Micro Devices Corp, Milpitas, California, has completed the $14.5m cash acquisition of the Microcircuits Division of GTE Communication Systems Corp in Tempe, Arizona, and looks for it to triple its current production level to around $30m a year; it funded the acquisition with available cash, and additional finance from First Interstate Bank of California.
