This agreement with North Carolina-based Caldwell Memorial Hospital (CMH) represents Wyndgate’s 15th installed donor or transfusion system throughout the Carolinas.
CMH is replacing and upgrading the information system in its transfusion service following its current vendor’s decision to discontinue support for the system.
Deciding to move away from our previous vendor was significant, since we had worked with them for many years. However, during our evaluation process, we found that Wyndgate’s SafeTrace Tx system offered a number of advantageous features, stated Clayton Johnson, laboratory director at CMH.
Mr Johnson listed some of these key features as better compatibility with the hospital’s existing IT infrastructure, beneficial safety features, fast and easy access to patient information, and ISBT 128 blood labeling capabilities.
