CALDERA SET TO SHIP APPLICATIONS BUNDLE FOR LINUX

Caldera Inc, the San Jose, California-based company backed by former Novell Inc boss Ray Noorda, will ship a bundle of applications for the Linux Unixalike by year-end called Network Desktop Bundle, priced at under $500 and including WordPerfect, Z-Mail, a spreadsheet, Motif libraries and Caldera Network Desktop (CI No 2,680). Meantime the firm is shipping the second of its phased releases of Network Desktop, including an enhanced text editor, back-up and NetWare client. Preview II costs from $30 with $20 for shipping and packaging in the US. It costs $20 and an extra $20 for shipping and packaging outside the US. The final release is due for shipment at the end of the third quarter.
