Caere Corp, Los Gatos, California has come up with a spread of add-ons for its OmniPage page recognition software and a new OmniPage 2.1 release with features that enable them to be used: the new line includes an automatic spell checker and software for comparing an original document with a revised document, converting bit-mapped images into PostScript and recognising dot-matrix text; the new products are available for both the MS-DOS and Apple Macintosh II and SE/30; the new release is free to existing users, OmniProof and OmniTrace, both of which can operate without OmniPage 2.1, are $150 apiece, the former now, the latter early next year; OmniSpell and OmniDraft, which do require OmniPage 2.1, are $100 each and are available now.
