Toronto-based CAE Industries Ltd has received an order worth up to $351m over five years via its CAE Electronics GmbH subsidiary to develop a low-level flight training simulator for the Tornado fighter, from the West German defence ministry: the initial contract is to develop a prototype, and if that is successful, the balance of the contract – to upgrade seven existing CAE simulators – will then be activated.
