Cadbury Schweppes Plc is quietly becoming a major player in facilities management, and the latest coup of its ITnet Ltd computer services subsidiary is a UKP30m five-year contract to take over the computer operations of the largest local authority in the UK, Birmingham City Council: the council’s information technology division is merging with ITnet, and the latter will take over the lease of the computer centre and take on the staff, plus ICL, IBM and Bull kit.
