AlphaInsight is a privately owned company with annual revenue of $42m for its last fiscal year. It works with the Departments of State, Defense, Homeland Security, and Justice, and 94% of its 360 or so employees hold security clearances, including 59% of these with Top Secret or higher-level clearances.

With federal security and defense spending on the rise, such clearances have been important in commanding the high price tags on many federal services mergers deals lately.

CACI has been busy with acquisitions recently, including the purchase of application developers TCO Ltd through its UK subsidiary and acquisition of federal analytic services firm National Security Research, both last October. In February CACI bought fellow government contractor Information Systems Support Inc for $145m in cash.
