Shares in Cable & Wireless Plc were up 7p at 402 pence early yesterday, helped by some brokers’ buy recommendations and a Daily Mail report on a possible demerger: the Mail said it could announce a major demerger next month when it announces its interim results; Cable & Wireless declined to comment.
