CABLE & WIRELESS FORMS CABLE-LAYING VENTURE

Cable & Wireless Plc yesterday announced that following its acquisition of Northern Services Ltd (CI No 989), its Marine division had signed a memorandum with the Andreas Ugland Group of Norway and Coflexep SA of France to create an equally-owned three-way joint venture company and transfer three off-shore support vessels to the new company. The trio plans further collaboration and joint development efforts.
