CA will refresh the suite with two batches of releases; the first group will be released before year-end, while the second is to ship by spring.

Included in the first wave of releases will be CA SiteMinder, the single-sign on product for web access; SOA Security Manager, the successor to CA’s TransactionMinder; SOA Secrurity gateway appliance, which is OEM’ed from Vordel; CA Directory; plus a batch of mainframe security products.

The update of SiteMinder, CA’s internet access control suite, increases support for federation with mobile devices. It also adds policy analysis and reporting features for regulatory compliance reporting. In turn, CA’s mainframe directory offering adds 64-bit platform for improved performance.

In turn, CA’s SOA Security Manager bundles existing capability from the old TransactionMinder product with support of proxy-based web services security enforced by SOA Security Gateway, the XML firewall appliance that CA is OEMing. It also expands coverage of heterogeneous IT environments by adding an agent for J2EE Application Servers to its existing agents for web servers.

Additionally, the first batch of releases will included updated versions of a number of CA mainframe security products focusing on more granular compliance reporting and, as mentioned, new 64-bit support for CA Directory.

For the spring release, CA will add finer grained entitlement management to Identity Manager and add LDAP support to Access Control. Additionally, CAQ will then introduce a new Compliance Manager product that can automate control monitoring, remediation, map control objectives, and automatically feed external GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) systems.
