Leading US software vendor Computer Associates International Inc has teamed up with Softbank Corp of Japan to sell its products to Japanese SMEs (small-to-medium-sized enterprises). The two companies will set up an Enterprise Solution Center by September to be run by Softbank subsidiary Softnet Company.

The center will provide leading system integrators and value-added resellers with sales training and sales assistance services such as technical support and product supply.

CA chief executive Charles Wang said: For large enterprises, we are selling our products through big, skilled, experienced systems integrators. But this approach won’t work for SMEs. So we have started this center to show leading systems integrators and VARs how added value and profits can be generated by our solutions and to help them improve their sales skills and support capabilities.

We will become number one in the Japanese market with the synergy of the two company’s strengths, he predicted.
