CA has completed its $200m acquisition of NetQoS, a provider of network performance management and service delivery management offerings.

CA said that the addition of the NetQoS response time analytics, flow monitoring, and unified communications management services will enable it to offer service delivery and assurance portfolio, spanning network and systems management, application performance management, and virtualisation and cloud management. Initially, NetQoS will operate as an independent entity within CA.

The company plans to continue to make the NetQoS portfolio available as stand-alone products. In addition, it also plans to extend its position in network and systems management, application performance management, and cloud management by offering the NetQoS products as integrated components of these offerings.

Ajei Gopal, executive vice president of products and technology group at CA, said: NetQoS enhances CA’s ability to help enterprise IT organisations and service providers deliver reliable, flexible, and cost-effective IT and business services. We can now offer customers the ability to deliver service-centric insight into network, systems and application performance, across physical, virtual and cloud environments, with no visibility gaps.
