IT management software and offerings company CA Technologies has partnered with storage, database and management software and networking products firm ECS Technology to promote cloud adoption in the commercial, retail, government, finance, insurance and manufacturing industries.
Under the agreement, the companies will provide technical support for cloud adoption in China and help deliver Business Service Innovation by enabling new levels of speed, innovation, performance and cost/risk efficiencies.
Under the partnership, ECS will become CA Technologies value-added distributor (VAD) in China and ECS also will assist CA Technologies in the recruitment, management and support of second-tier distributors, while providing sales and technical support for products in the region.
In addition, leveraging its extensive distribution networks and market advantages, ECS will actively develop second-level sales channels in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu based on its successful track record and expertise.
In order to promote cloud adoption, CA Technologies and ECS will work together to build a cloud test and development environment.
Using cloud, virtualisation and automation offerings such as the CA AppLogic turnkey cloud computing platform, the companies will create a program involving internal learning and customer visits to allow more customers to experience the business agility achieved by CA Technologies offering.
ECS China Value-Added Business vice-president Liu Ningdong said cloud computing is an inevitable trend and ECS is extremely interested in its development in China.
