C Itoh Techno-Science has begun selling Adams 1, a measurement control system which combines an analogue-to-digital converter developed by System Design Science, with a Sun Microsystems Sun-3 Unix workstation: the system collects analogue signals and digitis-es them for analysis on the workstation, and offers three resolution options, 12-bit, 15-bit or 16-bit, a sampling rate of up to 330KHz, and up to 128 analogue channels and 32 digital channels; a system with 4Mb main memory and 141Mb disk costs about $38,600.
