French PC communications software house BVRP Software SA reported a doubling of its first-half 97/98 revenues, up 101% to approximately $5.6m causing it to revise its full-year revenue forecast upward for the second time in less than a year. BVRP continues to accelerate its international development, with 69% of its sales realized outside France, compared to only 34 % in the same period last year. The company said that new international agreements under negotiation should sustain this tendency. Among its various poles of activity, BVRP saw its service revenues shoot up the most,142.9% to $1.65m. OEM sales of BVRP software jumped by 112.7%. The company’s distribution activity, reorganized in September 1997, has returned to growth, with first-half revenues up 3%. It saw 31.8 % growth in the second quarter. When BVRP was introduced onto Paris’ Nouveau MarchT, the company forecast 97/98 revenues of approximately $8.6m. Once the fiscal year began, the company’s order book prompted it to revise its forecast to a minimum of $9.7m, up 26% over the previous year. With these first-half results, BVRP says it expects to finish fiscal 97/98 with a growth of 50%, for revenues of $10.8m.
