But you win some and you lose some, and CompuAdd Corp is a big loser in the decision of the US Air Force to cancel the $1,000m Desktop IV award to the company in partnership with Sysorex Information Systems Inc, Falls Church, Virginia for 300,000 desktop computers over three years: eight unsuccessful bidders, among them IBM Corp and Electronic Data Systems Corp, protested the award on grounds that the Air Force failed to get best value as required in the tender, and casting doubt on the winners’ ability to fulfil; the contract will now be re-offered.
