Business Objects wraps up visualization buy

Business Objects SA has made quick work of wrapping up its $40m acquisition of data visualization software maker Infommersion Inc. The deal is expected to be accretive to Business Objects on both a US GAAP and pro forma basis beginning in 2006.

Paris-based Business Objects announced its intent to buy the privately-held, San Diego-based company in October. Infommersion’s interactive data visualization and presentation software helps business users manipulate and share data graphically in PowerPoint presentations, Acrobat PDF documents and Web formats.
