Business Objects SA has launched Business Miner, a desktop data mining tool that supplements its existing query, reporting and online analytical processing software. The mining tool, claimed to be the first to break the $500 price barrier, is intended for use by business people rather than the technical staff needed to understand competitive data mining tools, says the Paris-based software house.
