According to Business Objects, the new kit allows easier sharing of business intelligence and crystal reports between employees, customers and partners by incorporating existing web intelligence and crystal reports into Office SharePoint Server 2007.It also allows users to export reports to MS Word, MS Excel or Adobe PDF format using web parts.
SharePoint Server 2007 has gained significant traction among companies looking to manage content and facilitate information sharing, as well as enjoy the benefits of web services, said Jon Dorrington, vice president of strategic alliances at Business Objects.
Earlier this month, Business Objects’ rival EMC also expanded its partnership with Microsoft by integrating NetWorker, its enterprise backup and recovery solution, with System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 to offer data protection solutions for both Windows and non Windows environments.
