Eidos Plc, the UK software games developer that gave the world Tomb Raider, has reported net income up 123% at 24.3m pounds ($38.7m) on revenues up 65% to 226.3m pounds ($361.3m). Eidos also announced a series of publishing deals it hopes will give it continued growth. The most significant of these would seem to be the deal with TimeLine Studios, to publish games written by TimeLine co-founder and novelist Michael Crichton, whose name alone is likely to bring in the money. Eidos also signed deals with Free Radical Design, Looking Glass Studios and Capcom, to publish their games internationally. London Stock Exchange and Nasdaq-listed Eidos reports according to UK market regulations.
