IBM, Intel, Dell Computer and NCR have joined the Business Applications Performance Corp as founding members: the group’s aim is to develop benchmarks based on industry standard operating systems to help personal computer users compare and evaluate the various systems; other members include Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and Novell.
