Deutsche Bundespost Telekom is looking to enhance its services capability within Germany, but says that reports that it is to take a 50% stake in Debis Systemhaus Network Services, the corporate network subsidiary of the Daimler-Benz Interservices GmbH or Debis trading and services arm of Daimler-Benz AG are premature because they have not had board approval. Debis told Reuters in Bonn that Telekom’s DeTeSystem GmbH corporate client division would make the acquisition, and that the two would also be forming a multimedia software joint venture in Dresden.
