Bull SA is to make its first product announcement as leader of the worldwide Honeywell-Bull-NEC firm on April 6, with launch of a new low-end line of departmental systems to fight off the challenge from IBM’s 9370 and DEC’s smaller VAXes. The new machines, for an office environment, will run the GCOS 7 operating system from DPS 7, and almost certainly replace some models in the line, but may get a new name.
