BULL RELEASES INTEGRATED SYSTEM MANAGEMENT VERSION 3.0

By CBR Staff Writer

Paris-based Compagnie des Machines Bull SA has released version 3.0 of its Integrated System Management systems and network management tools, which are layered on top of the Open Software Foundation’s Network Management Option. The product now includes security functions, such as user identification and authentication, for distributed applications and servers. A Security Server application enables network managers to register and administer users from a single point of control. Integrated System Management runs on Bull DPX20s and under Novell Inc’s NetWare. IBM Corp AIX support will come in June, followed by HP-UX, Solaris and SunOS Unixes, and OS/2 and Microsoft’s Windows NT by the third quarter this year.
