BULL IN BOSTON LOOK FOR SURVIVAL

One of the unwanted leftovers of Compagnie des Machines Bull SA’s acquisition of Honeywell Information Systems is a circuit board plant in the Brighton suburb of Boston, Massachusetts: threatened with closure as Bull pulls back what manufacturing jobs it can still justify back home to France, the 600-employees plant is following the IBM Corp route with surplus factories in Europe, and seeking to take in other people’s washing, the Wall Street Journal reports; it now hopes to win enough external business to justify a management buyout.
