Compagnie des Machines Bull SA declined comment on a report in Les Echos that its chairman Bernard Pache – an appointment of the out-going socialist administration – was to be replaced: the company’s principal shareholder maintains the right of appointment; there has been no official comment or statement from the shareholder regarding the management of the company, Bull said; it is a quaint tradition on a change in government in France for all the previous adminstration’s appointees atop state-owned commercial companies to be replaced, and Les Echos said Pache’s departure could be announced next week when the government presents plans to restructure the company.
