Groupe Bull SA’s US subsidiary in Billerica, Massachusetts has put its sales and marketing departments under a single executive and replaced its geographic sales structure with five account-based profit and loss centres. According to Electronic News, the new structure will result in 300 redundancies with a number of losses in administration and the sales force. The new units report to Ward MacKenzie, formerly head of North American marketing, now executive vice-president business operations in charge of sales and technical support. Each unit is to have separate profit and loss accountability and dedicated sales, support, marketing and consultancy staff.
