Bull CP8 has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Philips operating company TRT, concerning joint plans to develop a new range of Smart Card products; a team of engineers drawn from both companies will work on a creating new set of microprograms, the name used to describe the intelligent bit of the card, in order to offer both sets of customers a number of fully compatible products – and that will no doubt be played up with so many rival cards now on the market.
